Young Survival Coalition "In Living Pink" Annual Fundraiser- New York City, May 20, 2010
AAUW-Thousand Oaks Library, May 6, 2010 - The Women of Jewelia will be at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library at 7 p.m. Thurs., May 6 at 1401 E. Janss Road. The 13 Ventura County women are co-owners of a 22-carat diamond necklace which they nicknamed Jewelia in honor of late chef Julia Child. The necklace is often featured as a “guest of honor” at fundraisers, and the women see it as a symbol of their commitment to contributing to their community. The program is presented by the American Association of University Women Thousand Oaks Evening Literature Group and Friends of the Thousand Oaks Library.
Women of Jewelia to record audio book for nationwide library, April 27, 2010 - The Central California Unit of Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic (RFB&D) announces the audio recording of "The Necklace: Thirteen Women and the Experiment that Transformed Their Lives," by Cheryl Jarvis. A true story of 13 Ventura County women whose joint ownership of an expensive diamond necklace resulted in shared experiences and personal growth, the book will be the latest addition to RFB&D's nationwide library of over 55,000 audio books for students with disabilities such as visual impairment or dyslexia. Each Woman of Jewelia will record her personal chapter of the book at RFB&D's Santa Barbara studio from Oct. 1 to the end of December.
The 17th Annual Assistance League Rancho San Dieguito’s Spring Author Luncheon, April 26, 2010 - The 17th Annual Assistance League Rancho San Dieguito’s Spring Author Luncheon fundraiser, “The Necklace,” by Cheryl Jarvis, will be the featured book at the Sheraton Carlsbad Resort and Spa in Carlsbad beginning at 10 a.m., Monday, April 26th. This is a fundraiser that will tell the true story of thirteen women, who took a risk on an expensive diamond necklace and, in the process, changed not only themselves but a community. Two of the owners of the “Necklace” will be the featured speakers.

The bliss goes on as Taylorsville writer wins necklace - December 12, 2009 -The phone rang one morning, rousing me from sleep. The cheerful caller informed me I had won the HERSHEY’S SHARE THE BLISS Contest! I thought I was dreaming! It's as much fun to share it as it is to wear it," she said. "I'm ready to pass it on and keep spreading the bliss."Roemer said she's excited to meet other winners in the spring at the annual Young Survival Coalition's charity benefit in New York City, where the necklace will be donated to the organization's fund-raising efforts.
Never a Lack of Ideas: The First Four Days of Sharing the Bliss, October 10, 2009 - Nick Scarpino from Chicago is the 2nd Hershey's Share the Bliss Grand Prize winner. He and his wife, Monica are enjoying their two weeks with the Hershey's Bliss necklace.

October 9, 2009 - Ojai Rotary Club - Mary Osborn, Jonell, Maggie and Dale were guests of the Ojai Rotary Club on October 9, 2009 at the Soule Park Golf Club. They shared the story of their adventures with Jewelia with a group of approximately 75 Rotarians. An animated Q & A followed the presentation and several members of the audience had an opportunity to be photographed wearing Jewelia.

HERSHEY'S "SHARE THE BLISS", October 2009 - Video interview with Priscilla & Jonell. The Hershey's Bliss Necklace will be donated to the Young Survivors Coalition Annual Gala in New York City slated for the Spring of 2010. Hershey's is the 2nd largest endowment fund in the nation, Harvard University being the 1st.

WOJ to record Audio Book for Nationwide Library, September 2009 - Sheldon Brown, publisher of the Ventura Breeze attended the launch of the Central California Unit=Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic where it was announced that the WOJ will record their National Bestseller "The Necklace".
Political group honor Women of Jewelia for good works, September 2009 - The WOJ were honored at the National Women's Political Caucus with the 2nd Annual RA RA Award at the home of Mary Haffner on Sunday, September 20, 2009. Pedro Nava presented them with a Certificate of Recognition from the California State Legislature Assembly for strengthening and furthering social equality through action, collective strength and philanthropy.
